back in business
i’m not dead. yet. the last two weeks consisted of pretty much no sleep, a shooting for a short film where i did the costumes and a weekendtrip to munich for a family reunion. now i’ve finally settled back at home in vienna and tying up loose ends here and there.
how this blog will continue, i don’t know. right now, in my opinion, the ‘fashion blogosphere’ is kinda oversaturated. i’m sick of reading the same news/seeing the same editorials everywhere. and while many blogs seem to lack focus, i’m thinking how to differenciate myself from the mass. i didn’t ponder this blog alot before starting, but right now i want something different. so there might be change coming on, think collaborations, a more scientific approach to fashion, more of my own, conceptual work.
for now, i leave you with some blurry teasers of my first real styling job. so excited to see the final product! it’s a 15-minute short film which will hopefully hit the festivals next spring!

the most beautiful moment of a 5 days shoot. dawn between the vineyards, overlooking vienna, glowing and glinting, a swing in the middle of a lighted field. pure magic
details are coming with high quality stills soon.

noir streetstyle 27/4/09
lately, i haven’t been drawn to streetstyle blogs quite as much as i used to. i often feel as if well-known photographers like facehunter, sartorialist etc have found their style and target group & stick to it & therefore don’t surprise anymore. or maybe the novelty just wears off. i don’t know.
so when i stumbled upon Amsterdam’s dam style i was more than pleasantly surprised. sure, the dutch have style, but what struck me most was the heavy usage of black in many of the outfits. my favourite, naturally!
loving the pants! can we actually call them pants? anyway, top-notch graphic effect, ideas on how to recreate this?
cute woolen cape plus patent clutch makes a pretty chic combo. though a model-esque face certainly does no harm.
one of the best jackets i’ve seen in a long time! everything is perfectly right here, the crisp white shirt & the braided belt give just the right amount of contrast, me thinks.
Sonny Groo just kills it. does it get any better?
all pictures courtesy of dam style. check them out!
