running away with the circus

this is one of my favourite editorials ever. it’s from french VOGUE march 2005. i bought the issue during my france exchange, and immediately fell in love with a then black-haired mariacarla boscono. not only is she herself stunning, but so is the styling and the atmosphere in the pictures!

i’m also having an intense love affair with anything circus related. or i guess i always had. coincident, i’m currrently working on the costumes of a shortfilm project, that is vaguely  circus-inspired, so i’m getting decked out with neckruffs and all right now. be prepared for some stage-worthy outfits!

i feel cream

literally, yes. the denim vest that i showed you earlier has gotten its makeover! i love the light colour and thought it just screamed to be paired with other light garments. and matching socks! and colour-coordinated furniture! oh yes.

peaches‘ new song is so good, verrryyy very much looking forward to the new album.
and i need to get my roots touched up. i know. but of course, when i arrived at the hairdresser‘s, they were just about to close.

wearing: diy denim vest, zara top, aa circle scarf worn as skirt, h&m wedges.

today: a really late breakfast at my favourite french restaurant and lying in the park, enjoying the sun with my beau.

what i am wearing: the skirt used to be bright pink and i got it when i was around 8. probably. i don’t know why i kept it but recently decided i liked the zipper&elastic strap, so i bleached it &dyed it black. the outcome is far from black, rather a washed out mix of all kind of hues from softpink to green and blue. needless to say, i love! worn with an old basic tank, my first try at shredding a shirt by the way, random black tights and my old jazzflats which have been turned into daywear as i can’t seem to find the real Repetto deal anywhere near. plus my huge aa shades. i never take them off.
